Prague Fine Dining & Restaurants
Prague's exquisite food scene is thriving. When in Prague, do not miss to visit a fine dining restaurant. Preferably one crafting local concepts and focusing on conscious dining that is more kind to our planet.
Štangl - Local & Conscious Fine Dining

My number one favourite restaurant so far and one of the best dining experiences I've had in many years in Prague is Štangl. Located in an old factory building you'll find this Michelin Guide restaurant focused on conscious & sustainable fine dining.
The ingredients used tell a story of the region, harvested in local fields, the wild nature and later nurtured by the hands of local producers. Štangl have their own hydroponic farm which reduces water use and is highly efficient compared to traditional farming methods.
For the wine curious person this will be a wonderful experience! On the menu you'll find a wide selection of local wines from small producers in Czechia and Slovakia. Paired with the menu you can choose a wine menu or an alcohol free menu. Both options were incredible and well paired with the dishes, both in flavours and appearance.
The restaurant offers a three or six course menu, where each course represent a fundamental local ingredient and is built around seasonal products. The dishes were truly art pieces and the entire evening was a wonderful experience.
If you only have time to visit one restaurant during your visit to Prague - this is it. Book well in advance at stangl.ambi.cz
Restaurant 420 - Unique Dining by Michelin Starred Chef
If you are looking for a dining experience in a unique location - this is the spot. Located right next to the Astronomical Clock you will find this fine dining restaurant started by Michelin starred chefs. Inspired by Czech cuisine they create exciting dishes full of flavours & art.
The interior is quite impressive, with ancient statues and a high ceiling and decorative tables. If you are into a beautiful dining spot that is very photo friendly, you found the place.
Other Restaurants
Bistro No. 19 - Czech cuisine.
Trattoria Cicala - Italian gourmet food.
Sapori - Italian dining.
Dim Sum Pot - Chinese food served in modern facilities.
U Glaubicu - Traditional Czech food in an old beautiful building
Top things to do
Prague is the city of beautiful old architecture, lots of culture and things to do. Below are some of the highlights not to miss when in Prague.
Cafés & Bars
Some of my favourite places to have a coffee, something sweet or when it's time for an aperitivo. Either if your vibe is luxurious and you are drawn more to grand cafés, classy bars and themed cocktail bars - or if you prefer a beer in a relaxed garden. Here is something for most people.
Café KávOkno - Want a quick coffee to go? Grab a fantastic cup of coffee through a window at Kávokno.
Café Imperial - One of Prague's grand cafés and included in the Michelin Guide. Book early.
Café Savoy - Beautiful old café.
Café Šternberk - art café next to the castle
Champagneria - Local cheeses & lots of Champagne. Sip on a glass while sitting in this old beautiful street. The mind will wander to Paris, but perhaps this is even more romantic.
Bar Hemingway - Fine mixology bar.
AnonymouS Bar - Themed experience bar you won't forget.
U Kunštátů - Craft Beer in Old Town
Prague Castle

One of the most popular things to do in Prague is to visit the castle, dating back to about 9th century. First you have to climb the stairs - but the view of the city is beautiful and the castle area itself grand! Especially during summer when the flowers are in bloom.
Private Wellness Spa

Ever wondered what it's like to bathe in the same ingredients as used when brewing beer? Now is your chance. In Prague you can book a private room for beer spa for you and your friends. Enjoy a bubble bath while you sip draft beers. The process is supposed to have multiple health effects for your skin. Great combination of fun and relaxation!
Location: Original Beer Spa, 9, Žitná 658, New Town, 110 00 Prague, Tjeckien
Alchemist Cellars
Prague has many alchemy cellars where alchemists sold elixirs and potions underground.
An example is the Museum of Alchemy, which was an herbal pharmacy in the 15th century, located in the second oldest building in Prague (900 AD). Today it is listed as an UNESCO heritage where you can see the underground cellars. If you feel like becoming younger you can also purchase the elixir of youth while you're here.
Location: Museum of Alchemy, Haštalská 1, 110 00 Staré Město, Tjeckien
Charles Bridge

You can't visit Prague without strolling the historic Charles bridge. If possible - try to go here early as it tends to become very crowded.
Petrin Tower - Prague's best view point
Prague's own Eiffel tower is the Petrin tower. With its 58,7 m and being located on a hill - it makes the perfect date spot while watching the beautiful views of Prague.
Astronomical Clock
Don't miss this old beautiful clock from 1400, located in the middle of the city centre. If you ever wonder where the sun and moon are currently located - this beautiful art piece will show you.
Museums & Beautiful Libraries
The Stunning National museum will take you through Czech history starting back in the 8th century.
Klementinum - In Prague, visiting a library is an experience in itself. Klementinum is one of the most famous and beautiful one. Feels like stepping into an old magnificent painting. Book tickets early!

How to get to Prague
I will always opt for choosing the slow and more sustainable route when travelling, which is the train.
By Day Train
From Berlin you can board a direct train to Prague. It departs several times a day, takes 4 hours and you can buy tickets at bahn.com
If you're travelling with an interrail pass, a seat reservation is not mandatory - however it is recommended during peak season as this train can be quite crowded. To avoid standing for four hours, book a seat at bahn.com.
From Vienna it takes 4 hours and you can find several direct trains each day.
By Night Train
From Brussels, Antwerpen, Rotterdam and Amsterdam you can board a direct night train to Prague that will take you through beautiful landscapes, such as Bad Schandau. Wake up and enjoy breakfast to the views, read a good book and arrive in Prague right before lunch at 11. The night train operating is European Sleeper and you can buy tickets at europeansleeper.eu

I'll hope you have a great time in Prague - exploring the beauty and fine dining of the city!
